For over sixty years, the Niagara Concerts have fulfilled a cultural need in the City of Niagara Falls and the surrounding areas at this theatre.
Our Annual series of concerts has promoted Canadian and International artists, ranging from opera, ballet, classical and contemporary music, also other artistic and creative art forms. In 1947, a few Niagara area citizens formed a group dedicated to bringing professional concerts to Niagara Falls. Through their efforts, the Greater Niagara Community Concert Association, which was a licensee of Columbia Artists, a New York based corporation, came to life. Concerts were chosen from a list presented by Columbia. In 1975 the board of directors approved a motion to disband and become independent of Columbia. Concert prices had skyrocketed and the choice of artists narrowed. Then the name was changed to Niagara Concerts and the programs reflected a wider selection of entertainment with more Canadian content. The 1982-1983 series was totally devoted to Canadian talent. On November 12th, 1975 our inaugural concert was the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Davies (he was later Knighted). Through the sustained efforts of the dedicated volunteer workers on the board and many interested and supportive members of the community, Niagara Concerts, a Non-Profit Organization, is able to present world class entertainment. All Concerts are held at Niagara Centre for the Arts on Epworth Circle in Niagara Falls. Order your tickets early.
